Maintenance
This is an approximate guide to how much work is involved in growing the plant.
Slight refers to a plant which would, for example, require a once per year prune. 'Heavy' would be a plant which requires weekly dead-heading. A moderate plant would be somewhere in-between.
Some plants, such as those used for hedging, could either be low or no maintenance if left to grow naturally, or high maintenance if regularly worked on.
